You can upload your file directly on the product page. If it’s easier, you can also email it to me after you order.

Can I email my files instead?

Yes - you can email them anytime to hello@heirloomsbyem.com.

What if I don’t have the artwork ready yet?

No rush. Order now and send your files whenever you’re ready. I’ll only begin your heirloom once they’re received.

What file types do you accept?

JPG, PNG or PDF. Clear, bright, high-resolution images work best.

How long does it take to make my heirloom?

Most pieces are made within 7–14 days.

Are all pieces handmade?

Yes, every heirloom is individually embroidered in my small Irish studio.

Can I choose a different frame?

If you'd like to switch between available frame styles or sizes, please get in touch before ordering and I'll be happy to advise. Custom sizes may be possible depending on the artwork and frame availability.

Can you work from old handwriting or photos?

Often, yes. Email me the image and I’ll confirm before you order.

Will my heirloom look exactly like the original image?

The embroidery is a stitched interpretation of your file. Slight variations are natural and part of the handcrafted process.

Do you ship worldwide?

How much is shipping?

Can I order now and send files later?

Absolutely. Your heirloom won’t be started until your artwork arrives.

How soon will my order arrive?

Each piece is handmade to order.

Postage within Ireland usually arrives within 1-3 working days.

Yes. Neutral and black fabrics are available, with a range of thread colours.

Do the frames come included?

Yes — all framed pieces arrive ready to gift or display.

Can I cancel or change my order?

Changes can be made within 8 hours of ordering.

Do you accept returns on personalised pieces?

Personalised items are made just for you and are non-returnable.

What if I make a mistake in my upload?

Email me as soon as possible so I can adjust your file before stitching.

How do I care for my embroidered heirloom?

Keep it dry, out of direct sunlight, and dust the frame gently. No washing needed.

Will the thread fade over time?

High-quality embroidery threads are used, but all textiles can soften or fade with long-term UV exposure. Keeping your heirloom out of strong sunlight helps it stay bright.

Because of this, small natural variations in stitching, spacing or fabric texture may occur. These subtle differences are part of what make your piece truly one-of-a-kind.
